Waylon's Story...
Waylon is a sweet little chunky kitten who is all black in color with green eyes. He weighs 2.5 pounds and loves to play alone with toys and with the other kittens. Waylon is very healthy and has a deep gravelly-sounding voice with a cry that sounds like that of a wild cat. He was found wandering alone at a local park. We think he is a Burmese due to his coloring, body structure, and personality. Age: 3 months. Cost: $25. Updated 6-13-10

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Waylon, a Lexington Burmese kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Burmese for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Burmese kitten from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Burmese breeders who help with Burmese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
