My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Romeo is love. He is a purebred, 2yr.8mo.old nuetered Rottweiler. He weighs aprox. 90-95lbs. He is gorgeous. Huge head..absolutely beautiful "old soul" eyes..)He was rescued three months ago from a very high kill shelter. He was so terrified in the cage. My heart melted the first time I met him. I took him for a walk and he laid his head on my legs and looked into my eyes..and I knew at that moment that he was very special. Very connected. Beneath the deep sadness and fear was love..forgiveness..and I sensed a very intelligient boy. I ended up fostering him for a week with my little dog an cat...He became so peaceful in my home. He CANNOT be caged. He actually "escaped" a crate I tried the first day I was gone to work. After that he was free in my house..and never chewed anything..After a week he was adopted by an incredible home in Oregon. Over 20 fenced acres...a few other dogs..cats..and a fantastic new human companion. He has been doing so well there since then..his adopter drove to Santa Barbara to pick him up...almost three months have gone by. He plays well with the other 4 dogs...is perfect with strangers..and he was eyeing the kitties but never showed any problems. BUt this last week he hurt one of his adopters cats very badly. Now she cannot keep him. I am so scared for Romeo. He will go to the local shelter if not rescued. If he goes into a cage again he will not survive emotionally.I am deperate for a foster or home for him. THere is a home for him in late June ..if he is fostered..so that would be about six weeeks. Even though he is still in Oregon..I'm posting him here ..and raising money to transport him . So..wherever you are..if you are interested ..PLEASE CONTACT ME!!! Romeo is nuetered, current on shots, and microchipped. He is housetrained.
