I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Bruno was very well behaved at an elderly lady's home. He and his girlfriend Bettina (red brindle) are pleasant, walk well on leash, not noisy, and even enjoy a bath. These pals were born in August '08. Bruno would love to be adopted with Bettina (if so, there's a discount) separately as an only pet would be o.k. A fenced area will be needed for safely exercising outside. Thank you!
We are caring and committed to HSCC missions: To aid and protect stray, abandoned, abused and neglected animals–including but not limited to rescue, rehabilitation, spaying and neutering, shelter and foster care, adoption. To aid in spaying and neutering companion animals–including but not limited to financial assistance for low-income owners.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We show shelter animals on Saturdays from 10:00 to noon, and weekday evenings by appointment. We show foster animals by appointment at an agreed-upon time and place. Contact us by email or message phone. (Our answering machine is regularly checked. Leave your name, number and short message, speaking slowly & clearly.)
Our Adoption Process...
The process includes a conversation, one-page application, one-page contract, and very reasonable adoption fee.
We do our best to place pets in LOVING, RESPONSIBLE, mutually appropriate homes. Any prospective adopter must meet the animal first. We prefer adopting within "easy driving distance" of Tahlequah OK, but occasionally make an exception. We do not ship animals.
Dogs have shots and broadtail vaccine, and are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked and microchipped!

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
