Pasha's Story...
Hi, my name is “Pasha” and am 6 years old. For the past few years I lived with an elderly lady but now her health is failing and she can’t take care of me anymore. The lady’s daughter took me to the vet to put me to sleep because she didn’t want a cat, and that’s when the nice people from VPAS saved me. I am a very lovable cat who craves attention and cuddles. I am good with children, but I have not had any experience with other dogs or cats. Because I have always been an indoor cat, the doctors say that I am very overweight, so I am on a new diet to help me. Because I am overweight I have trouble cleaning my backside, so the doctors at VPAS had to shave some mats off of me - I feel much better now but I have a bare behind. I will need someone to help me stay groomed until I have lost enough weight that I can do it for myself. If you’ve got room in your heart for a lovely cat like me please consider taking me home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pasha, a Saanichton Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
