This handsome labby guy is Markey. He is a wonderful, young, black, high lab mix around 7 to 8 months old. Markey has the sweetest warm brown eyes that can just melt your heart. This boy was pulled from a shelter who sells their dogs to a research lab if not claimed in 5 days. The thought of that happening to him turns our stomach. Thank goodness a concerned volunteer contacted Lucky Lab. He is such a sweet boy with medium energy and loves everyone he meets, even the resident kitty. Markey has won his foster mom’s heart as he is such an easy boy to be around for his age. He loves his treats, hugs, scratches behind the ears, belly rubs and he returns that attention with great big doggy kisses and butt wiggles. Markey has long legs and will probably weigh in at about 70 lbs when completely filled out. He walks great on a leash, loves to play with his foster brothers and sisters, loves to run after the ball and play tug-o-war with the rope toy. Most of all, he loves laying at your feet after a hard day of play. My bet is that he would love the water too. Markey would do great in any family situation.
Markey is crate trained, up-to-date on his vaccinations including rabies, neutered, heartworm negative and micro chipped. He is also current on his heartworm, flea and tick preventative. If you are looking for a goofy and lovey guy then Markey is your man. This boy would do wonderful in obedience classes as he strives to please his people.
