Rufus's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Rufus's Story...
This is Rufus! He is an approximately 10 week old male Black Lab mix. He
is a very sweet boy and definitely has the laid back Lab attitude. He loves
people and other dogs and seems to be a smart boy. He is already about 75%
housebroken and knows a few basic commands. He sleeps in a crate at night
but does not like to be left in the crate for long periods of time during
the day. Rufus has already been neutered.

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact his foster mom,
Andrea at 913.492.5202 to find out when & where you can meet RUFUS!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rufus, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
