Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HANNAH is a bright beautiful pup with a true Belgian Shepherd demeanor. She is one of four puppies rescued from a kill shelter in TN. Not an auspicious start for such wonderful pups. Rescue is working with them, tapping into their keen inquisitive natures and teaching them to trust and enjoy the companionship of people .HANNAH is approximately 25 weeks of age. Rescue introduces the pups to other dogs in a non threatening atmosphere for socialization purposes. This pet is located in TN and can be easily transported to New England
The Belgian Tervuren is one of four Belgian Sheepdogs. A very bright and obedient dog, they are determined and observant with strong protective and territorial instincts. Socialize well to prevent them from becoming shy or sensitive. Belgian Tervurens need an experienced master who is firm, but not heavy handed. Owners need to display a confident, natural authority over the dog. Consistent rules must be set and made clear. This breed is instinctively protective so it should be trained and socialized very well from a very early age.
Families who are not at home for more than 4 hours a day are not a match for these pups. Families with children are candidates if, and only if, they have had previous experience with dogs in their homes of similar intellegence and energy. Formal training will be a requirement for prospective adopters.
