Zena's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Zena's Story...
Zena is a wonderful, big, fluffy "mush girl" who came into the city shelter as a so-called "stray." But, Zena was obviously from some kind of home. She loves people, is very polite and well behaved. Housebroken and a pleasure to walk. Zena seems very tolerant around CATS and seems like she would be a good dog in a family with KIDS. Zena appears to be part Belgian Tervuren and part Chow. We have had great success in placement of Chows into homes with cats or kids and think Zena woud be no exception to the "rule." Zena is 67 lbs, about 5-years-old, spayed, up to date on shots and a very healthy and BEAUTIFUL dog! Don't miss out on this sweetie!
If interested in Zena, please call us rather than email (212) 427-8273.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zena, a New York Belgian Tervuren/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Belgian Tervuren/Chow Chow for sale in New York, or seeking a Belgian Tervuren/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Belgian Tervuren/Chow Chow breeders who help with Belgian Tervuren/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
