Yazoo's Story...
Hi! My name is Yazoo!!! I am a very sweet, very playful 2-year-old male. I have been living here since the girls rescued me from Mississippi back in October. I am being treated for heartworm right now, but it doesn’t seem to slow me down one bit. Being stuck in a cage all day is hard but I need my rest so I can get better. I love playing with other dogs, preferably large dogs because I get a little rough sometimes. I am a very good boy for car rides, especially if I know I’m going shopping for a new toy! I graduated from dog class at Trainers Academy in Troy, MI (www.woofology.com) in March . I have done very well in class, but I still have a hard time focusing. I am very willing to be your new life long friend!
UPDATE 4/06: Yazoo has now tested negative for heartworm, Yay!!!

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
