UPDATE JULY 9 2010 - UPDATE JULY 9 2010 - Foxy was adopted from the shelter! However there are many, many more urgent dogs needing someone to open up their hearts and homes.
Foxy is a strong Australian Cattle Dog cross in one of the shelters we work with. As below, she is in urgent need of medical treatment and of rescue. We cannot take Foxy in until/unless we have a foster home open up for her. Please consider opening your heart and home to a dog in need of rescue.
The shelter Foxy is in routinely has all 70 kennels full and is forced to kill for space. Please spay/neuter your pets before they have a litter.
"Please help poor Foxy! She came in as a stray on 6-4-10. We also found out that someone has shot her in the right front leg! Foxy has an appointment at the vet to see if her leg can be saved. We feel it may have to be amputated though. But that is no big deal. Dogs can do wonderfully on 3 legs. Please help us save poor Foxy, she is a great girl who deserves it! UPDATE 6/23/10: Foxy has been through a couple of rounds of antibiotics and her swelling is down but she still isn't using her leg. The vet recommends that we give her a couple of months in order to give the nerves a chance to heal to see if her leg can be saved. Only time will tell.... WE NEED A RESCUE FOR FOXY.....PLEASE GET THE WORD OUT FOR FOXY!!"
