Hi, my name is Charlie, I am a handsome blue merle male, no copper, a little over 1 year old, neutered and up to date on my shots. I'm a big boy weighing about 65lbs (I'm a little overweight and on a diet!). I am shaved right now, if you are wondering about the photo; I am a handsome guy and just wait until I have my full coat, I'll really be even more handsome!! I'm a really sweet boy, a little on the shy side, it does take me a little while to warm up to new people, but look out after I get acquainted!! I'm the biggest lover and wiggle butt in town! My new home will need to have some patience with me until I am comfortable, new things tend to scare me a bit at first but I am getting better every day!
I would love to have another buddy (a nice outgoing confident dog) to help me build my confidence with new people. I get along well with the dogs at my foster home and I am also good with cats. I don't think a home with small children would be good as I'm a big boy and could easily knock them down (not that I don't like them). I have good house manners; will whine when I want to go out to potty. I like to play ball and love toys, I can chew up a rubber squeaky toy in no time and destuff the soft ones without a problem!! My foster mom says I am very appropriate with choosing my toys and I don't bother other items in the house. I do check the counter tops occasionally, but don't have the reputation of being a counter surfer.
I have attended obedience classes with my former owners, but I still need to work on not pulling on my leash and even have my own agility equipment that I will bring along to my new forever home, I love the tunnel. My foster mom says I'm a little chunky, so I am on a diet, which I am not really enjoying. I love treats and sit on command. I am fostered in St. Petersburg.
