My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dogadee has quite a story to tell. Originally named Midnight, Dogadee was turned in to the Baltimore city shelter, where the staff discovered that she had a nylon string embedded in her neck! The shelter reached out for help to treat the wound, since they didn't have the resources do so. Thankfully the Maryland SPCA stepped forward and took care of her treatment. Then she came to CARA and a great foster home where she has been cared for ever since. This is a wonderful example of several rescue groups teaming up to save a deserving, sweet dog!

She has completely healed and her fur has grown back nicely. She shows no ill effects and is doing very well. She has gotten her shots and has been spayed. All "Doggie" needs now is a home to call her own. She is house broken and understands basic commands such as "sit" and "down" but would benefit from a one-on-one obedience course with her new people!

With the energy of a puppy, Dogadee will thrive any home with children or another dog to romp with. She doesn't do so well with cats, as she is prompted to play chase with them and most cats do not enjoy having a 75 pound dog chase them! Entering a new home will be exciting for Dogadee since she loves meeting new people and her happiness comes in the form of a great big belly rub.

What a great dog! If you are interested in Dogadee, please email us, come to a show, or fill out an application!
