Vixie's Story...
Updated 7/2/10: Welcome Vixie! This pup is brand new to our rescue.

Vixie was rescued by a volunteer from a shelter, along with her mom and other siblings. She and her littermates are 9 weeks old. Vixie is a fortunate pup, she's in a foster home learning the rules of the house already. Vixie is said to be a real sweetheart.

Vixie is a typical, active puppy. She loves wrestling with her brothers and sisters (as you can see in one of her pictures). Vixie needs a family who understands the needs of a young puppy - a family that is willing to bring her to basic obedience training. Those interested in Vixie also must own their own home (please do not apply for this pup if you are a renter).

Vixie is healthy and up-to-date on vaccines. $350 adoption donation is required prior to adoption of puppies. $50 is refunded to the adopter once proof of spay, at the appropriate age, is provided to us. A vet reference check and home visit are also required prior to adoption.

Note: We ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from our kennel in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vixie, a Manchester Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Manchester, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Manchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
