Hannah who has a heart and so much love to give in spite of her horrible upbringing. I rescued this girl the day before she was to be put to sleep..due to heartworms and severe ear infection. She was 'an owner surrender'- they kept her in the yard with an intact male who bred her repeatedly, she never laid at 'her person's feet' by a warm fire or knew what "inside dog' meant. The graying around her muzzle is due to a life of hard knocks...my vet feels she's about 5 or 6 yrs young...PERFECT weight.

Hannah has been with me a week and is an absolute LOVE!!! Even tempered, calm, gentle, sleeps in the bed with me,has basically ignored my 4 dogs but somewhat inquisitive now that her ear is on the mend...

Huge brown pleading eyes that speak volumes when I hug her and give her love. NO prey drive, loves her new surroundings but stays close to me off leash outside, responds beautifully.housetrained..NO accidents...

Her eyes now hold hope..hope for a bright future with a family or person she could love. ..KIND says it better than anything..

She's open, inquisitive and has met children, other dogs in the nerighborhood...a real trooper for a former yard dog in pain and being treated for heartworms..

She is being treated for heartworms, is up to date on all her shots, spayed and such a sweet girl.Hannah Banana's soft ear and big eyes will capture your heart............this girl will make some lucky individual or family a loyal companion. Hannah...with a heart........................

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hannah, a Rochester/Buffalo German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
