My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sara is a gentle soul. She likes to hang out in protected places – under the credenza, between the glass patio door and the curtain, and in other nooks and crannies, but don’t be deceived! She is a sweetheart who is ready with a purr if you give her the slightest reason, in the form of patting, scratches behind the ears, or a special treat. She’ll also come out of hiding to eat – she loves wet food, treats, and (believe it or not!) sometimes peanut butter, which is a good thing, because she needs to take a thyroid pill, and she will usually take it right off your finger if you hide it in a little peanut butter. The moment she hears the can, she will be out from her hiding spot and chatting up a storm, telling you just how happy she is to be fed. Sara is an older, gentle, quiet kitty who is looking for someone special to give her a home and share her quiet, gentle moments with her. She would be best with adults – she’s too gentle and shy for rough-housing children, though she would almost certainly tolerate it with kindness.
