Maddie is a very special girl. She is extremely sensitive to her surroundings, bonds very quickly with people and needs a home where she can feel safe. She did not take to being dumped in a shelter very well and we have no idea what has happened to her before she came to us but this girl has grown by leaps and bounds since being placed in foster care. She is a well behaved, loving and devoted companion. She is just over a year old and currently weighs 54 lbs.
When Maddie enters the room you will feel that an angel has come into your midst. This girl is just the most endearing soul, and the gentlest and sweetest natured dog. She was very shell shocked when she came into our care and very stressed out and yet she was still willing to trust and eager to please.
Once in foster care she began to really shine and has shown herself to be an intelligent, playful, affectionate and loyal companion.
We would like to see this girl continue blossoming and would prefer she go to an adult only home or a home with older children only. She would be excellent as a single’s companion with someone that liked to get out for daily walks and enjoy having a canine best friend.

Maddie is an athletic dog and walks very well on and off leash. She absolutely loves going for long hikes!! It is her favorite thing to do and she is a great companion on a walk.
She always wants to please you and loves to make you happy!! Maddie is such a wonderful dog with a very loving personality. She is an extremely loyal dog and very attentive and observant. Not a overly needy dog in terms of affection, but does not like to be far from you and is always up for a snuggle and a good nap. She may help herself to your bed and couch, but is very good about respecting boundaries when told.
Maddie is a generally very calm dog but when feeling playful will happily play fetch etc. Maddie can occasionally chew things I think out of anxiety when left alone, however, she is very sheepish when you discover it! Maddie is such a wonderful companion with a very endearing personality you can’t help but fall in love with her every time you look at her adorable face. She has been a lot of fun and a real treat to have around. She is a wonderful friend.
