MJ's Story...
MJ is an approximately two year old Staffie. He is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccines, heartworm preventative and flea preventative. MJ is housebroken, crate trained and walks well on the leash. If you notice the single white glove he wears, you'll know why his name is MJ (yes, short for Michael Jackson). MJ is a doll - everyone that meets him loves him! And he loves them right back. He is also good with other dogs. He is 65 solid lbs of pure love; with a giant head of course! Yes, someone terrible cropped his ears at some point. But MJ does not mind, he's just as happy as can be. He was rescued from an animal control facility that will not adopt out pits or staffies. Normally these dogs are put to sleep right away, but the staff at the shelter loved MJ's personality and temperament so much, they begged and begged for a rescue to take him. Lucky for MJ, our rescue saved him and he is now in a foster home, waiting to be adopted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MJ, a Reisterstown Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Reisterstown, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Reisterstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reisterstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reisterstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reisterstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
