Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Claudia is a 2½ year old (born January 2008) black & tan female. She weighs 6 pounds and has a docked tail and cropped ears. Vaccinated, spayed and had a dental.
Claudia was recently rescued from a puppy mill and is slowly becoming socialized. Claudia was used for breeding and had no human contact until coming into rescue 2 weeks ago with Cathy. Claudia is scared of humans, but is learning to trust her foster parents and will wander close to us to see what we are doing when we pet the other dogs. She still runs when we try to pick her up (which we avoid doing unless we need to crate her.) She is highly motivated by food and is now eating in the kitchen with her foster sibling when humans are in the room. If approached, she will still run away, but not as far and circles back to see exactly what's going on. She takes comfort in other dogs. She has had 2 accidents in her foster home and appears to be potty trained using our doggie door. She may never become a normal dog, but with patience and love she will become a solid companion. She lives with a ten month old baby and runs away when he approaches, but is not aggressive. She has learned to bark and run the yard withother dogs! And gives an occassional tail wag!
Careful consideration will be given to any interested adopter. A secure fence is a must as she has never been on a leash and with her level of fear, we are NOT introducing one any time soon.
Note: Claudia is located in St. Louis MO - and we will not fly this girl.
