Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cathy: is a 2 year old (born June 2008) chocolate/ tan female. She weighs 10 pounds and is fully vetted (vaccinated, spay, dental, microchip.)
Like her friend Claudia, Cathy was released from a puppy mill 2 weeks ago and is not yet socialized. Cathy is a gorgeous gal and subsequently used for breeding then discarded. She is not used to humans and will run when approached, although she now runs less and is a bit more relaxed when we pick her up. She also is more interested in her human foster parents and will timidly approach us and allow a few quick pets. She is more timid than Claudia, but has learned to eat alongside her foster siblings even if a human is in the room with her. Initially we had to put her food outside as she was fearful to come inside. She is now hanging out inside more on a dog bed nestled in a cozy corner. She has learned to run around the yard with her canine friends and hold her tail up, but we are still waiting for it to wag! She may never be a "normal" dog due to being neglected and mistreated for so long, but with patience and love, will make a loyal companion.
A secure fenced in yard is a must. She has never been on a leash and we are not going to scare her by putting one on her.
