Pirate's Story...
Pirate was rescued by Empty Cages Collective from a laboratory where he was being used to train students on restraint, injections and blood drawing procedures. He was to be killed when the laboratory was done with him. He was blinded in the laboratory in one of his eyes. Thankfully, he doesn't hold a grudge against humans because of it and is still friendly, funny and sweet. He is a healthy little guy--as are all mice--and would like a loving home to live out the rest of his life. He likes fresh food and rodent blocks and would appreciate some one-on-one time with a quiet, gentle human being. Please contact ECC at 1 (800) 880-2684 or if you're interested in adopting Pirate!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pirate, a Brooklyn Mouse was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mouse for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Mouse from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mouse breeders who help with Mouse rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
