My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

For all of you manx lovers, take a look at this little beauty! As all manx, she has the characteristics of an adorable rabbit in her build and movements and a "riser" length of tail. Absolutely beautiful!

Setti is three years old and like much of the Manx breed, is highly intelligent, playful, and loves her lap time with her people. This attribute makes them an ideal breed for families with possible older children and other mild-mannered cats (Mild-manner is imperative). If there are multiple Manx cats in a household, an owner might notice that they chase each other frequently which is common behavior for Manx cats.

Often times, the manx breed has a slight spinal deformity. In Setti's case, her's is located higher up in her spine which results in her inability to jump on anything higher than a low sofa or stool. If you prefer a kitty to sleep with you at night, we have many suggestions on how to make that happen! Her gait is also askew, resembling the proverbial "drunken sailor" walk. However, Setti is no slower at a run than her fellow feline friends.

She has shown excellent litter box habits! However, there are a few occasions where manx cats with no tail have some challenges. Many cats use their tail to release anything left stuck on their fur after the use of their litter boxes and since Setti has no tail, this could result in the occasional left over materials being stuck on her back side where she may need a little help from you or it could just fall off outside the box. This is a rare thing and it this is NOT a behavioral problem as she does not use anything other than her litter box to relieve herself.

Please do not overlook this beauty with such a good soul, simply because she may not be able to be perfect by human standards. We find her "flaws" to be very endearing and she has such a great personality and does the best she can every day. In return for giving her a chance to have a real home of her own, she will shower you with gratitude and love.

She is spayed, up to date on her shots and ready for just the right home. If you are interested in this delightful girl, phone Pam at 503-284-8768 or fill out our "I'm interested" form.
