Gino's Story...
Hi there everyone, my name is Gino. At only 5 1/2 months old I have already had a past that I'd like to forget. No one has ever spent any time with me, teaching me to trust or to love or to play. I am a very timid boy , the world just terrifies me right now but I have a big heart all locked up inside me that is waiting to get out. So now I am in desperate need of a loving and patient family to come and save me. There is a wonderful pet in here just waiting to shine, I just need some loves and hugs and kisses to help coax me out of this shell! Might you be my savior? 5 1/2 months old-35lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes adoption supplies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gino, a Portland Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
