Teagan's Story...
This adorable little fluff ball has been named Teagan. She was born April 28th, 2010. She is an Australian Shepherd Mix that is DEAF and VISUALLY IMPAIRED, but she sees well enough to get around. She runs like the wind, tackles her doggie friend and loves to play tug. After all that, she likes to relax with an ice cube. She does like to play in water.

Teagan is working on her potty training and is doing very well. She has also figured out the doggie door. We are working on crate training...but, she would much rather be with her foster family than in a crate.

Her vaccines are up to date, she has already been spayed. She will need to have another vaccine before she can be out at our events.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teagan, a Mesa Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Mesa, or seeking a Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Mesa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mesa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mesa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mesa paves the way for another one to be saved.
