My owner adopted me when I was a Pup and now I am 7 years old and she has lost her home and could not keep us anymore. Yes I said us, my older sister, who is 9 needs a home too!! I was a AARF dog, so AARF took me back to find me a home and my owner was going to take my sister to the pound but AARF just couldn't bare the thought of what would have happened to Mary at the pound!! So they took both of us in. We are at a boarding kennel right now and doing very poorly!!! We are scared to death!! We need a foster or permanent home to go back into!! Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Richmond Black and Tan Coonhound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
