Nellie was found stray in Clinton County with a serious injury to her back along with some broken ribs and as a result cannot use her legs that well and is very wobbly and stumbles in the back quite a bit. She is partially paralyzed and indoors and on grass she gets around but on hard surfaces like sidewalks and parking lots she has a special cart.
Nellie went to a specialist and had a CT Scan and surgery is not an option. She has received a doggie cart, or wheelchair, from Eddies Wheels. She is normal in the front and if she is hungry or wants you to carry her downstairs, which you would have to do if stairs in your home, she can be pretty bossy. She cannot always control her bladder and bowel functions but she knows and she tries. She requires quite a bit of extra care. Of course, we need a special home for this gal who just wants to be by your side and is very sweet.
She is 4-5 years old, 28lbs, and the most affectionate loving little girl you have ever met. Just a doll.

If interested in adopting we require a home visit and an adoption agreement with a fee. Beagles over 5 years of age have an adoption of $100 and if younger than 5 years the fee is $125. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, are up to date on vaccinations, and a copy of vet records is provided upon adoption to set up a file at your vet. We supply collar, temporary ID tag until you can use till you get one, and leash. All beagles are micro-chipped as well.
