Taffy's Story...
Meet Taffy.. we believe that she is a golden mix puppy. She is 5-6 months old. Taffy was scheduled for euthanasia and was lucky enough to be rescued by Friends of Retrievers. She is a sweet girl, likes belly rubs and enjoys stuffed animals. She is very much a "people" dog . She currently weighs thirty pounds. She will need an adopter willing to work with her through the puppy stages and take her to puppy training. She does very well crated and does not potty in her crate. She is still getting used to walking on a leash, but is getting the hang of it. Taffy is a beautiful girl and will go fast. Make sure to watch her video. If you are interested in Taffy and feel that she would make the perfect addition to your home, please email the rescue today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taffy, a PORTLAND Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in PORTLAND, or seeking a Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in PORTLAND.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in PORTLAND already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a PORTLAND breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in PORTLAND paves the way for another one to be saved.
