found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Well, you guessed it...my name is Sally Anne, a 4 years young Lhasa Apso
with blonde hair. I'm 17 lbs. of a-dor-a-ble, if I do say so myself!
I was surrendered to the pound because my first family could not afford
to keep me due to some medical issues of their own and medicine I
needed for my skin. They were very sad and cried and cried when they
turned me over, but my foster mom assured them I would be very well taken
care of and provided the medical treatments I needed to get all better.
Now I'm on the road to recovery - my skin allergies are getting
under control and thankfully my hair is growing back because I was
feeling a little over exposed (if you know what I mean)...my foster mom's
vet is a miracle worker and has made me feel so much better.
While I love, love my foster mom and foster brother and sisters, I would
very much love a family to call my own. I don't mean to toot my own
horn, but I have heard my foster mom telling me what a good girl I am
and she seems surprised that I know some basic commands. I guess because
some rescues don't have formal training like I have had. I'm house
trained and my foster mom lets me sleep in the bed with her and I can go
all night with no accidents. In fact, I hardly even make a peep. I'm
very tolerant of my foster siblings and I love to play with them - I
wouldn't mind some siblings of my own.
I will need eye drops for the rest of my life. My ducts don't produce
tears so I need the drops help to make them for me. They aren't expensive and
my foster mom says that it's a small price to pay for the amount of love I
can give you! I hope someone will give me the chance to show them how
loveable I am because I'm anxiously awaiting my forever home!
I am current on all of my shots, spayed, heartworm negative, and on flea
and heartworm meds.
Note from foster mom....
Sally Anne is hands down the easiest rescue I've had. She falls right in
line with her foster siblings. I don't have to retrain her and she doesn't
need to be separated from the others because her personality is just so
laid back. She has the cutest little under bite and her tongue usually
sits out on it and it is adorable. She is currently taking medication
for a skin infection and eye drops for her tear production, but it's only
the eye drops she will need forever - they are not expensive, a small
price for such a GREAT companion! I can't say enough about her, I love
her, my vet adores her, and I know you will too! :)
Sally Anne is being fostered in Yorktown, VA and her asking adoption fee is $275.
E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO MUCH FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS.
NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
