Daisy's Story...
Sadly, this little angel has been raised as an outside dog, not something at all suited for our family friendly golden retrievers! Because of this, Daisy appears to be timid and shy at first, but then warms up. Because she is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, she will require a quiet home for a few months while recuperating and a fence once she is able to run and play again. Our volunteer said Daisy wanted lots of attention, and rode "like a champ" in the car! She is very young, and will need not only basic training, but constant focus to compensate for the lack of attention in her short life! She is very loving and will return every ounce of affection, and then some!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Cleveland Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Cleveland, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Cleveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cleveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cleveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cleveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
