Casper's Story...
Meet the very handsome and charming Casper. Casper is a tall, stunning 5 yr old white boy who needs a loving forever home. Sadly, his last family dumped him at a shelter in the middle of the night in an outdoor enclosure!! He was freezing!! He did not adjust very well to shelter life and was very stressed, he chewed his paws raw and had to take some antibiotics to help him heal. Luckily the kind shelter owner saw that he was not coping well in a shelter environment and we were able to help him out. He would prefer a home that has someone around most of the time, since he gets quite anxious when left alone. He is not destructive, but he cries and gets very worried. He'd love to have another doggie friend to keep him company- a female since he is quite the ladies man. Casper is very well trained, knows basic commands, walks well on a leash. He is good with other dogs, unknown with cats. He met children over 5 yrs old when he was at the shelter and was very happy to spend time with them. Casper needs to gain a good 7 - 10lbs since he is too thin right now. He does not like the cold weather and prefers to suggle indoors. If you would like to offer Casper a wonderful home where he can sleep on the couch, and cuddle with you in bed - like he deserves after his tiring journey - please APPLY HERE STATUS: AVAILABLE photos to come.

Update March 28th: Casper went ot the vet today and was SUCH a gentleman!! He was very well behaved despite the poking and prodding at his sore paws. He's on another round of antibiotics to get rid of the rest of the infection. He has an appointment to get neutered and vaccinated on about two weeks and then he will be ready for his forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Casper, a Hudson Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Hudson, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Hudson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hudson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hudson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hudson paves the way for another one to be saved.
