Meet the very handsome and charming Casper. Casper is a tall, stunning 5 yr old white boy who needs a loving forever home. Sadly, his last family dumped him at a shelter in the middle of the night in an outdoor enclosure!! He was freezing!! He did not adjust very well to shelter life and was very stressed, he chewed his paws raw and had to take some antibiotics to help him heal. Luckily the kind shelter owner saw that he was not coping well in a shelter environment and we were able to help him out. He would prefer a home that has someone around most of the time, since he gets quite anxious when left alone. He is not destructive, but he cries and gets very worried. He'd love to have another doggie friend to keep him company- a female since he is quite the ladies man. Casper is very well trained, knows basic commands, walks well on a leash. He is good with other dogs, unknown with cats. He met children over 5 yrs old when he was at the shelter and was very happy to spend time with them. Casper needs to gain a good 7 - 10lbs since he is too thin right now. He does not like the cold weather and prefers to suggle indoors. Update March 28th: Casper went ot the vet today and was SUCH a gentleman!! He was very well behaved despite the poking and prodding at his sore paws. He's on another round of antibiotics to get rid of the rest of the infection. He has an appointment to get neutered and vaccinated on about two weeks and then he will be ready for his forever home!
