Georgia's Story...
"Well, I got lost and I waited at the veterinarians for my family to come and get me, but they never showed up. Now I'm here at NCCR, all vaccinated, spayed and ready for a new home. Since I can't tell the volunteers my history, it's best I don't go to a home with small children. I do have alot of energy so I'm more than a couch potato although I do love to be held too. I think if you are familiar with my breed, you would be the perfect candidate. I haven't played with the other dogs here yet, but soon we'll meet to see if I am compatible with them.

Georgia seems to be housetrained and will do her business right away on a walk, but of course there are no guarantees. Since our facilities are a kennel situation, it's not quite the same as having full access to a home, so we do recommend that a crate be used when you bring any dog into your home (unless history is known), at least until you are better acquainted and get used to each others schedules.

If you are interested in Georgia, fill out an application right away!

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an adoption application. This avoids the disappointment of someone else has "beating you to it" because they were pre-approved. Processing an application does not take us very long but we do insist that all potential adopters are approved before placing a dog. Applying is very simple. Just log on to our website at Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue and select Adopt a Dog from the menu on the left side of the homepage. Just above the photo gallery you will see Adoption Application giving you a choice of 2 formats. Select one of these and complete the information requested, then save it as a file and e mail it to us. If you do not get a response within 24 hours of sending your application, please call us at 716/326-PAWS. And be sure to check out all the dogs and puppies eagerly awaiting homes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Georgia, a Westfield Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier for sale in Westfield, or seeking a Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Westfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
