My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boo is a 9 1/2 year old harlequin female with lots of love to give. She loves to push her head into your lap. She has the most expressive face and will tilt her head and listen to you when you're talking to her. Boo is good with other dogs kids and cats. If the cat runs though she will chase them but as soon as you tell her to leave them alone she will listen and will stop. She is good on lead or off. She cannot do normal steps like in a split foyer. She can do steps if they are extra wide and not that steep although she has fallen up a couple of times due to her weak rear. She does have some arthritis is here rear end. She needs to go to a home that does not have any steps. She is in great health for her age but would need to go to a home where someone is at home during the day as she needs to go outside frequently. She will whine to let you know that she needs to go out. Boo will counter surf in the kitchen so you have to be aware of what's sitting out... She will eat it! She does have a sensitive system and therefore doesn't get people food. She has allergic reactions to shots and needs Benadryl prior to getting them. Boo loves to go for walks and loves to go for a ride in the car and go to the dog park. She has no trouble getting in and out of a caravan. Anything much higher I think she would have trouble with. She is afraid of thunderstorms and will come lay between the bed and the wall when there is a storm. Boo had no trouble adjusting to our home and in fact she adjusted in a weeks time... A lot sooner than Dane I just adopted in January. Boo is real sweetheart and a just a love bug! Please open your heart and your home to her to finish out her life!
Update: 11/7/10 Boo continues to be a sweet girl who loves everyone she meets. Her foster family takes her out and about on a regular basis, and she loves all the attention she gets, and gets around a lot better than many Danes younger than her! Boo does continue to have problems with steps, so with winter in mind, they built her a ramp to get in the front of the house. This girl would love to find a home to call her own, don't you have room in your heart for a senior?
