Simon's Story...
I am Simon and yes you will be very glad to meet me! I am an absolutely
beautiful Jack Russell Terrier. I am exactly what I am supposed to be,
high, high energy, super smart and always on the go. I do have time to
stop and get affection though. What I am really searching for is someone
who knows and loves my breed and will appreciate me for just being me! I
can’t go to a home with little kids ‘cause I can be bratty when I am
pushed. If you’re looking for a little terror, oops! I mean Terrier! I
just might be your feisty little man!5 years old-14lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon, a Portland Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
