My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imagine the heartbreak. You've been with the same family since you were a puppy. For 10 years you gave them all the love and devotion you had in you. Suddenly you find yourself in a cage with a concrete floor and so many other dogs around you that won't stop barking. Big, scary looking dogs. You can't sleep. You can't eat. Why, why are you there? Surely that's what Prince was thinking while he waited for his family to come back to get him. But they didn't. Was he bad? No. Was someone sick? No. Did someone die? No. They just moved. They were starting a new life and Prince wasn't part of it. Oh, and if that wasn't bad enough, he was dumped into an overcrowded high kill shelter where, at his age, he wouldn't stand a chance of being adopted. His future was short and bleak, and his body language showed it. Overwhelmed with sadness. That is until he found himself being put into the backseat of a car and going on a long ride across the water to New Jersey! We now have a very happy, friendly, loving boy on our hands! He adjusts well, and gets along just fine with the other dogs and cats in his foster home - though just a tad possessive with his food bowl while his face is in it. Prince is active, healthy, and shows no signs whatsoever of entering his senior years. He would make an excellent companion to an older adult as he requires very little from you and is content to just lay at your feet - oh, and occasionally gaze into your eyes with complete adoration. Prince will be neutered on 4/14, is being fostered in south Jersey, and his asking adoption fee is $150. E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO FASTER THAN PHONE CALLS.
