Blondie's Story...
Blondie is a Korean Jindo Dog being fostered by Jin-Sohl Jindo Dog Rescue, located in Southern California. The Jindo is similar to the Shiba Inu, though somewhat larger. For more information on this incredible breed please visit http://www.jindojunkie.com

Blondie is a cream female Jindo who weighs about 35 lbs. She and her sister were picked up by animal control and their owners chose not to re-claim them. The shelter behaviorist was impressed enough with these ladies that when their time ran out she contacted rescue. Bondie and her sister found a wonderful home together through rescue, however over time one of the other dogs in the household began to pick on Blondie. Because the family loved Blondie the decision was made that finding her another home would be in her best interest.

Our best guess places Blondie at around 18 months of age. She is altered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated as well as housetrained.

This friendly young pup just want to cuddle with people and give out kisses. Though she can be a tad reserved initially, she quickly warms up to new people and loves going new places. Blondie has a wonderful temperament and a very happy outlook on life. She has not had extensive formal obedience training, however she was worked with by the behaviorist at the shelter as well as her last home and is very well behaved. Due to her very submisive temperament, we feel that Blondie could be easily overwhelmed by young children. She would do very well in an environment with adults and teens. This polite, mellow, gentle girl has a lot to offer to the right home.

Blondie has lived peacefully with other dogs and has a very easy going submissive temperament. She is used to having a canine companion and we would prefer to place her in a home where she would live with another gentle dog. Blondie has been cat-tested and may be placed in a cat home provided a slow introduction is given.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blondie, a Southern California Jindo/Shiba Inu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jindo/Shiba Inu for sale in Southern California, or seeking a Jindo/Shiba Inu puppy from a breeder in Southern California.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southern California already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southern California breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jindo/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Jindo/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southern California paves the way for another one to be saved.
