Sunflower's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sunflower's Story...
Like a sunflower, I grew and grew at my previous home. That was a place where I was used to breed more puppies and not really given a lot of the attention a Golden Retriever girl deserves. My owner released me to rescue. My wonderful foster mom took me to the vet and they discovered I have a common thyroid problem so I'm now on inexpensive medication that will help those pounds just melt away! I'm the perfect age of seven and looking forward to having a whole new life now! No more litters of puppies and a lot more energy without the excess weight! I'm friendly and sweet and get along well with other dogs. I'm fine with cats, too. I'm just the ideal dog all around. If you are looking for beautiful companion to share your home, I'm probably the one for you!

We require an application, phone interview and home visit prior to adoption. We will not discuss a specific dog with an applicant until the adoption process is completed. Our adoption fee for dogs under 9 months is $250, dogs between 9 months and 8 years is $195 and our super seniors are $175. Please visit our website for more information. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunflower, a Evergreen Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Evergreen, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Evergreen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evergreen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evergreen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evergreen paves the way for another one to be saved.
