My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Molly is a lovely chocolate lab girl with a bit of a mix to her. She is about 1 year old and would be considered a high energy girl. She weighs about 55 to 60 lbs and is tall and slender. Molly's story is a bit sad as she did not deserve to be cast away by her family. She was supposedly cared about at one time, the shelter called me and said that there is a person who wants to surrender their lab to our rescue because they did not have enough time for her. Well, we were waiting to hear from this family to decide on how to get her. Then learned later that they did not want to take the time to contact the rescue, so they dumped her at the shelter anyway. Really? "Lets drop off a loyal family member to a high kill shelter instead of wasting our time contacting a no-kill rescue". Baffled? We are too. Luckily, the shelter is a shelter that we take from regularly and we did receive a call from the shelter manager about her. This girl was coming to us one way or the other. She is such a sweet sweet girl, but does need to learn some obedience. Clearly the family did not spend time with her, but she does know some basic obedience. She is fully potty trained, crate trained and takes treats nicely. She has been socialized with men, women and children and would do fabulous in many different situations (family life or single companionship), however, playtime, exercise and good ol' fashion doggy lovin will be a must for this girl. She will make a great family member for anyone willing to commit to her. She gets along with other dogs great and can be cat tested if necessary. She will be great in a dog park, hiking through the woods, swimming and hanging with the peeps. Molly is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, heartworm negative. She is micro-chipped and kept on prevention for heartworm, fleas and ticks. If you are interested in adopting this girl, please fill out an online application and request her on the notes section.
