Sadie's Story...
The pinkest nose with a splotch of grey. The lightest and brightest green eyes. The softest silver-grey tabby fur. I’m Sadie, a very pretty, distinctive-looking, gentle, and affectionate furry little soul looking for a new forever home. My family was moving and could not take me with them, so I am looking to find a new forever home. I’ve lived with both dogs and cats in the past, but I’d be just as happy in a multi-pet home or as a single pet, just as long as I get plenty of lap time and plenty of pets. And once you pet my downy-soft fur, you won’t want to stop. I’m very gentle and affectionate. When you pet the back end of my body, I lift it straight up in the air with delight. When you pet my face, my eyes seem to light even brighter. Because I am more laid back than some of the other communal cattery cats who come up to greet every new person who enters the room, you may have to look in a kitty condo or quiet corner for me, but I’m certainly worth the effort to seek me out and find me. Then, let the pets begin! I will make someone a very loving and loyal companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
