Gabby's Story...
I am young female kitty who is not afraid of much. I was rescued from outside in September of 2005 after hanging around my foster mom's backyard for a while, until I was finally sure enough that she would help me. I was about a year old then. I guess I had a family at one time, but I don't know what happened to them and I sure like living inside again. I am very easy going and don't mind kids, so maybe I lived with them before. I don't know about dogs, since there aren't any here, but I definitely get along with the other cats. I have a wonderful disposition, and I'm waiting for my forever home. Please call Norma at (630) 897-8738 for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gabby, a Montgomery Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Montgomery, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Montgomery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Montgomery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Montgomery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Montgomery paves the way for another one to be saved.
