Ariel/Ellie's Story...
My real name is Ariel, but my foster mom started calling me Ellie May, and that’s what I usually answer to. I was born in September of 2005 and have been in foster care with her since I was six weeks old. My brother and sister got adopted when we were all real little, but I am still waiting patiently for MY forever home. I’m a sweet, quiet kitty, who loves to be petted, and I even like being brushed sometimes, which is good, because I have some pretty long fur! I have a kitty friend here that I will play with, he’s very nice, but I’m easily intimidated by more dominant cats, so I would be much happier being an only kitty. I know my foster mom loves me, but even she thinks that I would shine in another place, even if it’s a long term foster home where I can relax and be myself, without having to worry about other cats. I am very well mannered, and I don’t take up much space - I only weigh about 8 lbs! If you would like more information about me, please call Norma at (630) 897-8738 or visit our website to download an application..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ariel/Ellie, a Montgomery Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Montgomery, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Montgomery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Montgomery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Montgomery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Montgomery paves the way for another one to be saved.
