Hello! My name is Snowy and I am almost 40 years old – but don’t let that number hold you up! I have LOTS of life and love left to give! I came into rescue from a loving home of 25 years. My owners felt they could no longer provide me the attention I needed for various personal reasons and made the very difficult decision to have me re-homed. My foster Mom says that I am a very sweet and loving Cockatoo – I do love to snuggle and give kisses. I seem to prefer women, although I am learning to make friends with men as well. I can be a little shy at first when I meet new people, but I usually step up for just about anyone, and then I turn in to Mr. Cuddle Bug! I do get a little jealous of others when my chosen person is around though and I may bite if someone gets too close to me and to that person, but with a little positive reinforcement, I am sure you can teach me some better manners. I like to coo and occasionally I will laugh with the family. I can also be very vocal (hey - I AM a cockatoo, after all!) and I will carry on with my own funny little conversations.... in my very own language! I can also say Hi, Hello, Goodbye and a few other phrases as well. I also enjoy being outside and sitting on the 'front porch swing'. I love greens and I currently eat Roudybush pellets with fresh vegetables, some fruits, and healthy nuts. I promise that if you have the time, patience, and love to give, that I will make a great addition to your family. I really hope that you will come meet me very soon!
