Peanut's Story...
Hello, my name is Peanut! I'm a 5 year old Australian Shepherd mix. I'm brand new to ARF! My coat was a bit rough around the edges when I arrived - all matted up. The nice people at ARF had me groomed and now I feel like a whole new dog! And, as soon as my coat grows back in, I'll look even more handsome! So if you can overlook my temporary "summer haircut" appearance, I'd really appreciate it. I'm a gentle soul, quiet as a mouse right now. I'm just looking for someone to depend on and give me lots of love! In return I'll be your best friend for years to come.

Call my consultant, Kristin, at 216-798-3154 if you would like more information. I am hanging out in a foster home, but she will set up a visit so we can meet!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Berea Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Berea, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
