Minnie's Story...
I'm an adorable 3 month old Magpie Harlequin girl. I came in with 13 other bunnies, most of whom are my brothers and sisters. I have beautiful white fur with?. stripes!!!! That's right stripes!! That's what my breed is known for! I am really friendly and fun!! I would love to go home with one of my sisters or brothers, but I could also be a single bunny if you promise to give me a lot of attention. I need to be an indoor bunny, but since I will be getting spayed I will be easy to litter train! Rabbits are wonderful house pets! They have individual personalities, can be litter trained, and love to play with toys!

If you are interested in obtaining a rabbit for a companion, please do lots of research. There is TONS of information online. We recommend the information from The House Rabbit Society (www.rabbit.org) or the "Morfz" site (http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabcare.html).

The adoption fee is $50 which helps defray the cost of spay/neuter. All of our rabbits have received full vet check ups. We adopt to indoor homes, and prefer adult-only homes. We do not adopt rabbits as pets for children. We consider homes with older children dogs or ferrets on a case-by-case basis.

If you are over 21 and have the time, energy, love and financial resources to care for a rabbit (not to mention a good sense of humor!) we would be happy to talk to you about adopting one of our fabulous foster bunnies!

If you are interested in adopting a bunny from us please email us at huntsvillebunnies@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself. Please include your phone number so we may call you about the adoption.

Please note we are a little picky we love these bunnies and since they have already been through the shelter once we want to make sure they have a great home the second time around! We do screen applicants carefully, as well as require a home visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minnie, a Huntsville Harlequin was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Harlequin for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Harlequin from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Harlequin breeders who help with Harlequin rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
