Karleigh's Story...
Rescued from a car where she had spent 8 of her 11 months of life, Karleigh is thankful for having a chance at a real life. She had been kept in such a small area for so long that her hips had started to atrophy. Now seen by a vet and given proper exercise, this young girl is fully recovered. Her prior owner had "stored" her in a broken down car, only going to check on her once a week. Karleigh is surprisingly social and sweet. She needs to be indoor-only because of her limited exposure to life and seems to do fine with the other dogs and cats in her foster home. She uses her litter box without fail. Karleigh is spayed and current on shots. Please give her the family that she so desires and the chance to make up for the young life that was lost to her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Karleigh, a Tillamook Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tillamook, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tillamook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tillamook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tillamook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tillamook paves the way for another one to be saved.
