My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Young Female, Jack Russell and Dachshund Mix and Young Female, Terrier Mix

Charlie and Zoe are very bonded but we will accept applications for them separately.

We call these pups the Wonder Twins because they are both so wonderful!!! Splitting them up would be the wrong thing to do because they love each other and they will make someone the perfect twosome!

Zoe is a very loving and kind little spirit who gives great hugs and has love in her eyes. She was brought to the Kansas City, Missouri shelter at the age of 8 weeks with her sister. Her sister was adopted but she wasn’t. She sat in that cage for 9 more weeks. A transport was set up to transfer 23 dogs that were out of time to Colorado. Sunrise Foundation took Zoe in. Zoe had weak muscles from sitting in a cage so long but she has become healthy and strong with so many dogs to play and socialize with.

Everyone loves Charlie! Yes, Charlie (Charlotte) is a lovely little girl. She is happy all the time. Life is just wonderful in her eyes. She is the kind of dog that kept a smile on her face, even in the shelter where her time was up. She came from Lamar, Colorado where the dogs are only given a few days to find a home. Charlie was transported to her foster home by a team of wonderful volunteers working together to save her. When she arrived she was a 4 month old pup and not house trained. She is now spayed, grown up, house trained and ready to find her forever home.

Zoe and Charlie together are a joy to behold. They play, eat, sleep and explore the world together. Charlie is more dominant but they rarely have “ugly” words with each other. I wish every dog had a BFF to experience life with!

If you would like to meet them, fill out an application and email it to Sunrise. They know how to use a doggie door, they are spayed and micro chipped. Charlie was born around December 2009 and she weighs 20 pounds. Zoe was born around March 2010 and she weighs 30 pounds. $400 to wonderful home.

Home visits and references are required on all adoptions. If you would like more information about our rescue and our dogs, including more photos, visit our website at www.sunrisefoundationltd.org..
