Harley's Story...
Harley is an adorable and sweet mannered Black Lab mix. She is a young female that is just about 8 months old. She is medium sized and weighs about 45 pounds. Poor Harley was given up by her owner because they said they had too many dogs and she is now in a foster home where she is hoping to find a new home of her own.

She is a very sweet and social girl that would make a great addition to any family. She is great with kids, very good with other dogs and she has never met a person she didn't like. She has a nice good-natured personality and is fairly laid back and not overly excitable.

Harley is fully vaccinated, spayed, micro-chipped and is heartworm negative. Her adoption donation is $200. For more information on how to make Harley a part of your family, please contact her foster mom Denise at trendycanine@yahoo.com or call 219-670-2205.

She is currently being fostered in Valparaiso, IN.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Chicago Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
