Jacob's Story...
Jacob is a purebred Australian Shepherd that was born on 06/02/10. His momma Anna came to us well advanced in her pregnancy, giving birth to four beautiful puppies. The puppies are all healthy, but due to the merle to merle breeding, they all have special needs. Jacob is VISUALLY IMPAIRED..but, sees well enough to get along. His hearing is not perfect, but he listens well.

Jacob is doggie door trained. He loves to romp and play tug with his foster siblings, some. He loves water! He will come running if he hears the water pouring in the bowl. He is a very smart boy. If you sit with him on the floor he will crawl up on your lap or walk around; he will follow you. He isa typical velcro dog.

Jacob's vaccines are up to date, he is neutered and micro chipped. Jacob will be a medium to large dog when grown.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Mesa Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Mesa, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Mesa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mesa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mesa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mesa paves the way for another one to be saved.
