Meow! My name is Jack aka One-Eyed Jack
Jack aka One-Eyed Jack's Info...
|Breed:||Persian||Color:||Tan Or Fawn||Age:||Young|
I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Argh! My name's One-Eyed Jack. I like to think I'm a pirate but I'm actually half blind in one eye. I see shadows for the most part, but the rest of me is good. I need a home that has time and patience, as my eye seems to drain alot (so I need a cleaning at least twice a day).
My mother was found run over when I was about 3 weeks old and the people couldn't care for me. PFFSAA came and took me in. When I was 6 weeks, I got some kind of ulcer in my eye. The vet gave me meds but they didn't help. Eventually, it went down and I ended up as One-Eyed Jack.
I love to play and give nudges. I also like be talked to. I do okay with kids but I'm laid back and sometimes don't want to be messed with.
My adoption fee is $70 (includes spay/neuter, shots, rabies, microchip, 1-month flea/tick prevention, 1-month health insurance). Please take me home and I promise to be the best matey.
More information about Purrrfect Friends Feline Shelter & Adoptions
PFFSAA started as a mother/daughter habit of taking in unwanted and abandoned cats. We became a no-kill, non-profit shelter for felines when it became obvious that we needed more help with food, supplies, volunteers, finances, etc. We take in abandoned, stray, injured, and/or surrendered cats/kittens, provide them medical care and love, and try to match them to permanent homes. We believe that there is a home for every feline, but it might take awhile before that home finds us.
We hope to eventually work with our Animal Shelter and other local groups interested in TNR as well. We also do microchipping for the public, dogs and cats only. If you can't make it to an event, please call us and we will meet you.
While we are not 501c3, please note that we are non-profit and in the process of becoming 501c3.
We are recently using foster homes and looking for a permanent site, so to view an adoptable cat or kitten, someone will meet you at your house at a time that is good for you. Our Adoption does have a Foster Program for the first 30 days. If it does not work out within this time, we can try another feline or partial refund.
We are still working on adoption events, but do have notices posted on any public display boards we can find, and periodically advertise in the Goldsboro News-Argus.
Our adoption fee is $70.00. This covers up-to-date shots, spay/neuter, complete vet-check, microchip, 1-month flea/tick prevention, and 1-month insurance . We have an adoption application, also available online, that we use to help us match homes, and we require a $30.00 deposit to hold specific felines with the balance due the day the animal is to go to its new home. New owners must sign a contract that specifies terms such as keeping the animal indoors, what to do if it doesn't work out or something happens, etc., and we do a home followup visit to be sure everything is working out.
