Boomer's Story...
If dogs could talk, we bet Boomer would have quite a story to tell. This little guy was found in Ohio with no collar or identification. He's a really sweet boy and we think he may have been a hunting dog at one time coz his sniffer rarely leaves the ground! He's a trim tri-colored beagle who is curious, playful and very dog/people friendly. He craves affection and we think that after the life this little man has had, he deserves it

Boomer is UTD and will be neutered prior to adoption and as we learn more about him we'll be sure to update his bio. In the meantime, please consider giving Boomer a second chance at a life as part of your family.

If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting this wonderful little guy, please complete an adoption application by visiting our web site, clicking the "adoption" tab, reading the guidelines, and submitting an application.

Our pets require an application and adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boomer, a Portland Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
