My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Clay was a stray that was found hanging out at a school playground. He had obviously been having a big ol’ time on that playground, rolling in the dirt and such – he was truly a muddy mess when we first met him. Once bathed we were beginning to realize how incredibly handsome he was but his coat was horribly matted. He sat so patiently while we worked and worked on his coat, but we
finally had to take him to a professional groomer where the consensus was that he just needed to be shaved completely down. You know, in all this heat he probably hasn’t minded his “buzz cut”. Rest assured, his coat will come in and be beautiful. He is the absolute sweetest boy! He loves to hug and cuddle and is everybody’s best buddy in the kennels. He enjoys the company of other dogs and checks up on everyone to be sure they are ok – it’s very cute. He does just fine with our cats and loves children.
Clay is crate trained and housebroken. He has been neutered and microchipped and is up to date on all of his shots. He is heartworm negative and on monthly preventative for heartworms, fleas and ticks. He is 18 months old and weighs 53 lbs.
