My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Angie's foster mom has updated us and says that she is a great dog. She is very affectionate and anxious to please. She feels that the best situation for Angie would be where she is an an only dog in a home with older children. She will also need an owner who is active and can give her the amount of exercise that she deserves as she LOVES to run! Her foster mom took her to a local dog park and she did fine playing with the dogs there. She was the littlest dog there and ran circles around all the big dogs, and she was just having the time of her life!

Her foster mom says that Angie is falling into the rhythm of the household and waits patiently at the door for her lead to be put on. She sits for food and treats. She knows the commands SIT, DOWN, STAY and COME and her foster mom is continuing to practice these with her regularly so they will become second-nature.

Angie has great house manners and does not chew anything except for her toys. Her foster mom says that Angie is so cute and funny and has taken quite a shine to her!

Angie needs a home with more exercise and attention than she has been getting. She has done well with children but doesn't always know how to read cues from other dogs. She is not a fan of feline friends.

What a mystery breed mix Angie is - she appears to be some type of small shepherd mixed with maybe beagle? She's all kinds of cute though! She was found in March of 2009 by a good samaritan and she was absolutely starving. She was heartworm positive and did great through treatment last year and is very healthy.

Angie can climb a chain link fence but has been trained in the past on an invisible fence. She loves to be outside with her people to run and play. Angie is housetrained and crate trained. She is a very sweet dog who likes to lay on the couch and sleep on the bed. She likes to meet new people and she loves kids and all she wants to do is give them kisses.

Angie is a great little size at maybe 35 lbs, and she can't wait to find a forever home this time. Could it be yours?
